Stevens Memorial Chapel was established as Duckworth Funeral Home in 1908 on Burnett Avenue near downtown Ames, Iowa. Later, Francis L. Stevens became a partner and the business was renamed Duckworth Stevens Funeral Home.

When Stevens became the sole proprietor, the home’s name changed to Stevens Memorial Chapel. In 1964 the business relocated to its present location of 607 28th St., one half block east of the Ames mall. Today, we’re proud to be part of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers.
